Do you charge a deposit upon booking?


No, we charge full payment upon booking. Please pay with a credit card via this website, or call us to arrange an e-transfer. We do not accept cheques or debit. *Please review our cancellation policy prior to finalizing your booking* See next FAQ for the full policy.




Can I request an early check in/late check out time?


Check-in time is flexible after Thursday, 5:00pm however, an approximate arrival time is appreciated as we are not always on the premises. Please do not ring the door bell as the rentors in the main house have nothing to do with the Cottage. Check out is before 12:00 noon, Sundays. We can make accommodations to check in/out times, subject to approval and availability.




Are your accommodations scent-free, including non-smoking?


Yes, we are a fragrance-free environment. In order to provide this type of environment to our guests, we only accept bookings from non-smoking guests. We ask that all guests keep perfumes and fragrant toiletries to an absolute minimum.




Do you allow bridal parties and wedding prep in the Cottage


We love to have Wedding couples stay at Cameo Cottage, however we cannot under any circumstances allow bridal prep within the cottage or the main house. Hairdressers and makeup artists are not allowed to perform their services on our premises. Please note: This is included in our agreement upon booking - deposits will not be returned to those who book online without taking note of this.




Do you allow pets?


Sorry, not at this time. Registered Guide Dogs with accreditation are an exception.




Do you allow children and/or infants?


Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children or infants at this time and we do not make exceptions.




Are you using CDC recommended cleaning products and procedures to clean the cottage?


Yes. We are following all the recommendations given by the CDC to ensure your well being as well as ours. We can give more detailed information if required. The cottage is also only booked on weekends which gives ample time inbetween guests and is booked at a 2 night minimum for one couple only. We also supply disposable wipes, cleaning agents for your personal use during your stay.




Can we cook inside the Cottage


There are no cooking facilities in the Cottage. It is stocked with a Keurig coffee machine and a wine cooler. There are several restaurants in the area, including fine dining, pub, bistro/bakery and pizza.




Is breakfast included?


Sorry, we no longer supply breakfast. There is a Kerig machine in the Cottage. Please bring your own supplies. We are happy to make recommendations for local restaurants for Breakfast or Brunch.




Do I have to sign a Covid-19 Release form?


Yes. An e-form will be sent to you to sign prior to your arrival. If you don't have a printer you must bring the form with you upon arrival.




Will you rent on a weekly or monthly basis?


No, we do not rent weekly or monthly at this time. Please enquire for special requests.




Do you accommodate EV vehicles? Is there parking on-site?


Yes, there is room for one car in the driveway. (shared with other residents) Parking on the main street is also free- overnight parking is legal. We do not supply energy for EV vehicles.




Do your advertised prices include tax?


As a small business, we do not collect tax.




Are you open in the Fall and Winter?


Yes! Jordan is a beautiful place to visit in the cooler months. . Visit our Facebook and Instagram to keep on top of our current promos!




Will you suggest things for us to do in Jordan?


There are many things to see and do in Jordan and the Niagara area! The Waterfront Trail starts across the street from Cameo Cottage, at the Jordan Historical Museum. Main Street is filled with boutique shops, wineries and restaurants. We are within minutes driving to several golf courses and wineries and the Balls Falls Conservation Area. Niagara-On-The-Lake and Niagara Falls are within a 20 minute drive and Toronto is a 1 hour drive away. We are always happy to make recommendations specific to your personal tastes!




What is your cancellation policy?


Making a reservation at a bed and breakfast is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we uphold a strict cancellation policy: Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date. It is not transferrable to another stay. There are no exceptions to this policy including sickness, family emergencies, or weather related issues. No-shows are responsible for full payment of their entire reservation. Should you cancel outside of 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of your total booking fee will be refunded. Cancellations (including changes) made 30 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival forfeit the full reservation value and will remain charged to the credit card provided at the time of making the reservation. There is no refund. Any and all rescheduled reservations will require the full financial payment by the Guest.
